Tips needed: ABQ to Flagstaff

Post coming soon on Ruidoso, but in the meantime, we're heading out tomorrow (Mon) to Sedona by way of Albuquerque & Flagstaff. We won't make it all the way on Monday, but that's generally where we'll be playing for the next few days. If anyone knows of anyplace interesting along the way, let us know!

  1. Not 100% positive on this - but I think Sedona is the turquoise capital OF THE WORLD!

Where is Lake Havasu in relation to where y'all are? That's a spring break-type destination, if I recall correctly.

Also - check Flagstaff, I think they're having bad wildfires right now.

  5. We're staying tonight outside of Flagstaff and can see the fire smoke but have figured out which roads are closed, so we're fine. We head to the Grand Canyon in a few days!!!

  7. We're finally on the road too. Will spend the weekend in Santa Fe at some friends' house...sweet! You know about that. If it's not too late we suggest PINK JEEP tours in Sedona...a real hoot! Oak Creek Canyon is pretty and you may be able to camp along there. El Tovar Lodge at the rim of the Grand Canyon is an awesome place to watch the sunrise. Stay in touch...our paths may cross.
